  • Date & time: April 7th (10:45 PM ET / 7:45 PM PST)
  • Element: Air

  • Ruler: Venus
  • Themes: Emotional Climax, deepest truths revealed, transformation of dynamics in relationships, crossroads, making decisions, resolving matters.

Every month the Moon reaches its fuller phase when it makes an exact opposition with the Sun. It’s the peak of the lunar cycle, when emotions are heightened and when something subconscious rises into the conscious awareness. Also, it symbolizes completion, when we see the results of what we began during the New Moon of the same sign. This makes it perfect to celebrate if you see the blooms of the seeds you planted and/or an opportunity for reflection and gaining emotional clarity on a situation.

The Full Moon will occur at 18 degrees of Libra, an Air and Cardinal sign ruled by Venus. This lunar event represents the climax of Aries season and the culmination of the emotional cycle that began on September 28th with the New Moon in Libra. The ruler of this sign, Venus, is in Gemini, in the sign where it will retrograde next month.

On April 9th, Venus enters its shadow period. Hence, what will be illuminated is what needs a change of dynamic. This is because Venus in Gemini (a social and mutable sign), in a harmonious aspect to Saturn & Mars, will be asking for a reinvention in our relationships. Most of us during the mandatory social distance are either getting adapted to be physically separated from significant others or be 24/7 with them. Hence, with this situation, relationships are inevitably meeting change and being put to test. And as we can see, the planets reflect it.

We are currently living very intense times that will be recorded in history and this is reflected in the cosmos with all the planetary cycles that have initiated in a short period of time from the beginning of 2020. This Full Moon occurs a couple of days after the conjunction between Jupiter and Pluto. This 12 year cycle that they began, will accelerate the transformation that is greatly needed currently in the structures of society and the economy, as our current global situation has shed light to what is not working efficiently or ethically.

Remember that this conjunction is happening after the one between Saturn and Pluto on January that meant the collapse of these structures. Now, we are currently experiencing the effects of this intense aspect. Thus, the luminaries in a T-square with the Jupiter and Pluto conjunction, puts us in a crossroads. Since it’s happening in the sign of the scales, it signifies that decisions made at this moment are crucial for the transformation that will be brought in a collective level, though this process extends to the end of this year.

Individually, as Full Moons always represents a time of illumination and and it tensely aspects these two last planets, it will bring to light the rotten, the occult or the deepest truths in our relationships. For instance, bringing transformative changes in our relationship dynamics. Interestingly, Mercury will make exact harmonious contacts with Jupiter and Pluto during the night of this lunar event. This reinforces that the truth that has been under the surface will be revealed. It will also be helping us get to the bottom of the matter and find the root cause of disharmony. To reemphasize, Saturn & Mars in Aquarius will be squaring Uranus while Venus, the ruler of this Moon in Libra, will be trining the first two. Thus, we may feel impulsed to make drastic changes, break free from stagnation, or to adjust to our current situation in a way that improves the dynamic.

This makes this lunar event an opportunity to solve matters and to clarify the mystified in your relationships. It will be asking for growth and for change in the way you´re currently relating with the significant other or to negotiate and come to a mutual understanding in current disagreements. However, although relationships will be under scrutiny for most, this Full Moon will also highlight where there is disharmony in an area of life or where you may feel currently on a crossroads. This is so you choose the path that serves you best, making it a potent time for important decisions, as the air element will help you analyze and come to a conclusion. Note, that the effects of this lunar event will last two weeks until the next New Moon, not just during the Full Moon.

Lastly, Jupiter and Pluto provides a powerful energy ideal to channel for devoting with determination and commitment to an objective. These are transformative times for society and our resiliency and our adaptation to these changes will inevitably also transform us. However, it is up to us to decide if we want to channel this energy to alchemize our life and reach our highest potential, or to remain in the lower vibration that this conjunction represents, which is fear. This makes it an excellent time to meditate and to release all of the tension that has been building up so that we transmute into the higher vibration which will serve as the fuel to create positive change throughout the year.
