ABOUT FULL MOONS

Every month the Moon reaches its full phase when it makes an exact opposition with the Sun. It represents the peak of its cycle, when emotions are heightened and when something subconscious rises into the conscious awareness. Also, it symbolizes a completion, when we see the results of what we’ve previously worked on. This makes it a great time to celebrate if you see the results of the seeds you planted and/or an opportunity for gaining clarity on something or a situation.

THE TWO FULL MOONS IN LIBRA OF ARIES SEASON

This Full Moon in Libra is the second one to happen during Aries Season and it will be happening just one day before the Sun changes to Taurus. The first one that we had, occurred at the beginning of this season and the start of the equinox. Therefore, this one was at 0 degrees of Libra, indicating the start of a culmination, but this one at 29 degrees is what will completely culminate what began with the New Moon in Libra of October 2018. The last full moon in this sign made an opposition to Chiron, putting to light wounds that needed to be healed and asking us to reflect on our position in relationships as sometimes they work like mirrors.

FULL MOON AT 29° LIBRA

However, this one brings a different story as it will be in a different degree and will be making other significant aspects with planets such as Pluto and Uranus. Pluto, is closely conjunct Saturn and the South Node and so it brings the energy of the eclipses. In short, this lunar event will ask for endings, to make a decision or to release what no longer serves while we close this emotional cycle with a sense of liberation and bring balance to the scales.

In addition, it’s a time to contemplate on the lessons learned since October respecting your relationships, which are not necessarily romantic, but that can be with a business partner, member of your family, a close friends or simply, how you are relating with the other. Are you in the lowest energy of Aries which is selfishness or that of Libra which is codependency? This makes it a time to put a balance to this.

ARIES AND LIBRA POLARITY

When the Sun and the Moon meet in an opposition, we have a Full Moon and this aspect brings the balance of both the signs these two luminaries are in.

Aries is the sign of “me”, the ruler of the first house of self; it’s fiery, ruled by Mars and cardinal, hence, begins something to achieve its ambition. Libra, however, it’s the sign of “we”, the ruler of the seventh house of relationships; its from the Air element, ruled by Venus and cardinal, thus, begins something that satisfies its and the other’s desire.

When both signs are in their ideal balance, it teaches us the art of relationships and teamwork. Now, we’re not only operating from the ego, we are also considering the other. However, there needs to be a balance because our desires and needs should always be considered too. For this reason, the balance between both is needed in order for relationships to work efficiently and healthily.

FULL MOON SQUARE PLUTO

The Sun and Moon will be meeting in an opposition while squaring Pluto in Capricorn. This aspect forms a geometric pattern known as a T-square which highlights conflict, power struggles, tense energies and urges for a resolution. This pattern is happening in the Cardinal modality, which means that there is challenge between finding where to direct the energy. Pluto is the planet of death, endings and transformation and it has been conjunct Saturn and the South Node. Its alignment with these planets call for liberation of old paradigms and the tearing of structures that are no longer aligned in your path.  However, since we meet this energy very strongly in this lunar event in the sign of Libra, then we can see it in the context of relationships.

Additionally, it will ask to end vicious cycles or change the dynamic of a relationship. Maybe putting an end to it is not the solution, maybe it’s to better communication with each other, listening to the other’s needs and not your own or vice versa. However, it depends on your current situation and the gravity

RELEASING CONTROL

In summary, there may be decisions to be made, path’s to choose or things to let go of as this tense square highlights liberation, banishment and ultimately releasing control. It’s not a time to hold on to something that is not working anymore.

FULL MOON OPPOSITE URANUS

Although Uranus is in Taurus, it’s still conjunct the 29 degrees Sun in Aries and we can begin to feel its electric energy. This full moon makes an opposition to it adding another insight to its meaning. Uranus is the planet of radical change, revolution and that takes us to another level of consciousness as it can shake up our comfortable ground and put us in a place where our fight or flight response is activated. This fear that we experience is crucial for surviving in this life, but sometimes it can surge in situations where we are not actually in danger. Thus, we are just out of our comfort zone or things that we are used to are changing.

Hence, this aspect can highlight how we may feel after something is illuminated, after we make that decision, after we change the dynamic of a relationship or end it. Of course, at first it’s a shock, but eventually you’ll know that whatever it was, it set you free.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU

This is an ideal time to reflect on what changes need to be made or what decisions need to be taken regarding your relationships. It’s also a time to contemplate the lessons you’ve learned so far since October 2018. For the last Full Moon in libra I indicated that it was a time to heal ego or self esteem wounds that rose during that time and that the proximate two weeks was for healing and releasing them. How are they now? Are you seeing it with a different perspective? This lunar event culminates an emotional cycle, end it with clarity and releasement of what no longer serves.

This Full Moon will be quite tense and may make our emotions volatile because of the close aspect it will make to Uranus. This makes it an ideal time for cleansing rituals, banishment and healing. Since it’s ruled by Venus, who is currently exalted  in Pisces, we can channel this energy also for making art, poetry or rituals that celebrate the divine feminine.
